Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics helped them get noticed throughout the world of rock. While the group did not make much progress in America but they enjoyed huge popularity overseas. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career after the breakup of her band in 1979. After taking voice lessons, she released her first self-titled album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin in the Edge". Both albums failed to get much attention and Ford just vanished out of the scene for a few years. In 1988, she came back to the scene with a smashing album called "Lita. The single 'Kiss Me Deadly and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' both became huge success. However, the success of her career wasn't last long and after a few years she disappeared. She re-emerged with the release of 'Black in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland' nearly 15 years after. She released her latest album Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
